The quartz tube is located in the center of the UV lamp housing, in the so-called reactor. It prevents direct contact of water with the surface of the UV bulb while it passes through the lamp. As water flows around the quartz tube, UV rays eliminate bacteria through its wall. Therefore, it is important to ensure that no deposits settle on the surface of the tube. We recommend cleaning or checking its perfect transparency at least during the replacement of the UV lamp bulb.
